It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of Colin White, better known as Knocker.
Knocker played goalkeeper and was a massive influence in the 1st grade premiership wins in 2006 & 2007.
He was a great friend of the club and a great friend of hockey. He will be greatly missed.

Al has organised a trial game against the Newcastle team the Marauders. The same team we played in Newcastle last October.

Monterey have moved domain names to montereyhockey.club

Guys, 
We are just over halfway through the season and while it's not possible for someone to join Monterey Hockey Club this late in the year it's a great time to get them involved in the club! If you know of anyone who is keen on playing hockey get them to some games so they can watch and meet their future team-mates. If they are interested in trying before they 'buy' they are more than welcome to join us at training. Remember, no experience is necessary.

Below I have updated the 2014 SHA Player Agreement for those that do not wear a mouthguard and/or shinpads.

Please fill out & sign 2 copies of the form and bring to every game. A legible digital copy will suffice.


If queried by an umpire and unable to produce a signed document you will be asked to leave the field.

Today's trial game was a massive success, a great way to ease back into the winter comp. A good friendly game as always against St George Randwick, the scores may not have mattered this time but next time we meet it'll be on like Donkey Kong. 

The season opener against UTS and Bankstown starts next Saturday the 5th of April at Homebush (Pitch 2) - With 2nd Grade playing at 1230PM and 1st Grade taking the field at 2PM.

Please make sure you email through your availability to the selectors, Al & Barry before Thursday night so appropriate selections can be made.

If you weren't at the trial game, please be aware you will still need to pay your $200 deposit to receive your jersey - socks are also available for $10.

We aren't exactly sure which field we'll be training on, though it's definitely one of the water based pitches.
